Helsinki, Finland 17 November 2011
The conference A greener agriculture for a bluer Baltic Sea was jointly organised at hotel Hilton Fiskarstorpet, Helsinki, Finland on November 17, 2010, by the two EU projects Baltic Compass and Baltic Deal. Over 140 professionals, ranging from ministry staff, researchers, civil servants, advisors, farmers and environmentalists from ten Baltic Sea region countries and the Commission of the European Community attended and actively contributed to the conference. The program enabled the participants to benefit from plenary presentations, parallel seminars, panel discussions and also included the award ceremony for the 2010 WWF Baltic Sea Farmers’ Award. The conference constituted one out of several events in Helsinki 17 – 18 November with a focus upon agricultural development and environment.
