Baltic Compass organised a regional meeting on payment for ecosystem services together with Järki, a Finnish agri-environmental project. The meeting was organised in Lohja, Finland, on 30th November 2012. The aim was to discuss on how to find a way forward with outcome based approaches in agri-environment payment schemes.

Payments for ecosystem services is a hot topic across the Baltic Sea Region in trying to find methods to fund sustainable agriculture. Participants at the event could learn from existing measures from various countries, explore the possibilities of this approach and to identify the next steps needed to move towards.
